With the increasing number of cars on the road, the development of automotive accessories is naturally driven, and brake pads are one of them.
The advantages of brake pads are as follows:
1. Hard brake pads result in a squeaking sound when initially applying the brakes and a slower braking response. However, they are more wear-resistant.
2. Brake pads are also called brake linings. In a car's braking system, brake pads are the most critical safety component. The effectiveness of braking depends entirely on the brake pads; therefore, good brake pads are the guardian angels of both people and cars.
3. Braking primarily works through friction. The friction between the brake pads and the brake disc (drum) and the tires and the road surface converts the vehicle's kinetic energy into heat energy, bringing the car to a stop.
4. A good and efficient braking system must provide stable, sufficient, and controllable braking force, and have good hydraulic transmission and heat dissipation capabilities. This ensures that the force applied by the driver from the brake pedal is effectively transmitted to the master cylinder and wheel cylinders, and avoids hydraulic failure and brake fade caused by overheating.
