A typical production process for brake shoes involves multiple steps from raw materials to finished products, designed to ensure quality, improve performance, and enhance corrosion resistance. First, the web and flange of the brake shoe are manufactured using stamping or casting processes, then welded together to form the final T-section. The welded brake shoe undergoes shot peening to remove impurities and is then impregnated with resin to improve corrosion resistance. Friction linings are manufactured using a hot-pressing process, where automated mixing systems and automatic weighing equipment improve production efficiency. The formed linings undergo curing to enhance their performance under extreme conditions. Subsequent processes include grinding and chamfering the linings to improve performance and appearance, followed by bonding or riveting to securely attach them to the brake shoe substrate. For designs requiring riveting, the linings are drilled before bonding. After assembly, the brake shoes are marked for product traceability and undergo full inspection before packaging.
