The Geomet coated brake discs have better corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance compared to the uncoated brake discs. The coating is extremely thin and can protect the internal metal while not affecting the installation accuracy and braking performance.

Production
The general processing procedure is as follows: degreasing → shot blasting/rust removal → coating (immersion/spraying) → high-temperature curing (around 200℃). Some processes will add a sealing layer to improve corrosion resistance and appearance.
Quality Control & Certifications
The coating will fully cover the brake disc, ventilation channels, outer edge, center cap, and friction surfaces. The coating on the friction surfaces will be worn away by the brake pads during the first braking action.
